The GT86 CS-R3 rally car’s first appearance in Britain saw new Top Gear presenter Chris Harris tame slippery conditions in the Welsh hills on his way to class victory.
Chris and co-driver Bryn Pierce were faced with very difficult conditions in the Mid Wales Stages, the first round of the British Rally Championship, but the CS-R3 made it to the finish on Sunday in one piece and leading the BRC3 class.
The rally started with frustration for TMG and RallyPrep, who were running the car in Wales, when an electrical issue stopped the CS-R3 on stage one, but hard work from the crew got it back into the action.
The rear-wheel-drive CS-R3 provided spectacular action for the fans whilst also giving TMG valuable set-up information from a particularly tricky gravel event.
Fans in the UK can watch highlights of the Mid Wales Stages on Channel 4 and BT Sport on Saturday 12 March.
