Leutheuser Racing&Events (#530) won the eighth TMG GT86 Cup race, on 12 October, in style, despite difficult conditions. Fog and mist meant that qualifying was postponed, and the ROWE DMV 250-mile race, the penultimate of 2013, started 90 minutes late. The crew of Jutta Beisiegel, Martin Tschornia, Alexander and Wolfgang Kudrass, (Leutheuser Racing&Events) then crossed the finish line in their GT86 CS-V3 car to win ahead of the Toyota Suisse Racing Team (#532, Christoph Wüest, Rene Lüthi) and their Belgian competitors, Renstal Excelsior (#525, Ludo, Marc and Ken Stessens).
Alexander Kudrass, Leutheuser Racing&Events: “This victory was very important for us, especially if you look at the overall standings. Now, the championship is certainly within Jutta Beisiegel’s and my grasp. Still, we will have to give our all in the last race on 25 October because our rivals never rest!”
The trio of Ludo, Ken and Marc Stessens fielded by Renstal Excelsior (#525) also had a very good weekend. While in qualifying the Belgians had to make do with sixth place, in the race they made it up to third for a deserved podium. The new team, Royal A.M.C. Sankt Vith (#531), wasn’t quite so lucky and had to retire from the race after an accident in “Fuchsröhre” just before the end.
All this leaves the championship race undecided. Jutta Beisiegel and Alexander Kudrass lead with 44.28 points, followed by Wolfgang Kudrass (41.36). Third is Arne Hoffmeister with 36.46 points, after he finished fourth at the weekend.
