The new GT86 CS-R3 rally car from TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH will be the star of a new competition in 2015; the HJS TMG CS-R3 Trophy which is planned to run within the German Rally Championship.
HJS, a supplier of motorsport exhausts to the CS-R3, will coordinate and manage the HJS TMG CS-R3 Trophy, which will see up to 10 of the rear-wheel-drive cars competing in seven rallies around Germany.
HJS has previously organized similar events, running the innovative HJS Diesel Rallye Masters from 2006 to 2012.
The HJS TMG CS-R3 Trophy will run with the support of partners Ravenol, Pirelli, Eibach, Sandtler and Pagid. Prize money will be awarded to Trophy winners and runners-up at each event and the Trophy will benefit from a centrally-located area within the service park.
A spare parts and tyre service, as well as catering area, will also be offered to competitors, with full details to be announced in November when the Trophy will be open for entries.
TMG will give the GT86 CS-R3 car its public debut later this month on Rallye Deutschland, when Isolde Holderied drives a prototype as a zero car on the event. That participation will contribute to defining the final specifications of the car, after which pricing and other information will be published.
