Anthony Davidson

Englishman Anthony Davidson followed a familiar path to the top, starting on home soil in the renowned Formula Ford series where his pace soon marked him out as a star of the future. A rapid rise through Formula 3 led to Formula 1 in just his fourth season of single-seater racing. Anthony’s distinctive helmet, which is inspired by American racer Eddie Cheever’s, became a common sight in Formula 1 as he established himself as one of the most trusted test drivers on the grid, and a fierce racer when the chance arose. He emphasised that point when he switched to endurance racing and quickly combined a works LMP1 drive with further Formula 1 testing. Despite a dramatic introduction to TOYOTA, when he suffered an unlucky but spectacular accident at Le Mans on the team’s debut, Anthony has enjoyed his greatest successes in recent years, capped by a second place at Le Mans in 2013 and the 2014 World Championship title.
